The Suomi Tyres Piikkisika ("stud pig") is the Finnish winter mountain-bike tire built for frozen trails and icy roads. Nearly 400 aluminium-crown studs with hard-metal pins give you real bite on sheet ice, and the open, aggressive tread clears snow and slush on every rotation. A lightweight skinwall casing keeps the tire lively despite the stud count, and the triple-wrapped steel bead and winter rubber compound stand up to cold and rough ground.

Fit

For 29" (622) mountain-bike rims; check the size on your current tire's sidewall. New studs need a gentle break-in: ride the first 40–50 km on tarmac without hard braking or cornering so the studs seat properly.
