CGO800S vs CGO800 Plus — choosing the drivetrain

• CGO800S (belt drive) — single-speed Gates CDN carbon belt. No oil, no chain rattle, no gear shifts in stop-and-go traffic. Best for flat-road commuters who want zero hassle.
• CGO800 Plus (chain drive) — Shimano Claris 8-speed (100–290% gear range). Best for riders who tackle hills regularly or want fine cadence control. Slightly heavier overall.
